The last sail of 2007

What a lovely weekend - very cold but beautiful blue sky and calm sea.

So we set out to Carnarfon - lovely sailing over - really recharges your

batteries to get some fresh air. Had a lovely evening watching Strictly Come Dancing on TV and ate a huge picnic of "dragon's breath" pate (very spicy!!!), delicious cheeses and pickles - washed down with lots of red wine!

Then off to the Royal Welsh Yacht club for a night cap.

These photos were taken on the way back to Conwy - again blue skies! We all moored at Plas Newyd - a splendid stately home and had hot chocolate and lemon meringue pie for breakfast!!!

Another Night Out

Michelle is our leader in that she has control of the pen on quiz night!

We had a fab night on Friday in the Mulberry in Conwy with the Quiz team.
Jan had organised a great quiz for us to do (bit easier than the usual
Tuesday night questions) Food was fantastic. Yet again drank far too much.
Sorry mum! Think we must be what they call binge drinkers!

After eating and drinking too much we then carried on with the brandy on the boat until 3am. Glutten for punishment! Hangoveer all day on Saturday.

Cold December

Hi all! Not much to report this week. Stayed at home this weekend cos the weather forecast so awful. Spent time doing xmas shopping - though I have done most of it on line to save time. Made a visit to Dialstone Centre this week (my old workplace) to see the lovely girls. Great to see them and catch up - going out for dinner with them on 14th. Going to a christmas dinner in Conwy on Friday for the Quiz team - they seem to win when we not there - so dont think we contribute very much knowledge!!!

Then on 13th Jenna is 21 - Wow it has been a busy year.
So should have some more photos then.

Aunty Olwen will be flying back from NZ this week after visiting my cousin who emigrated there - Have a safe journey and bring some sunshine back with you.
They are always on the beach and having bbq's - great life out there.

Take care all - only three weeks to the shortest day now - then onwards to summer again!

She goes in April 08 for 8 months. Good Luck Jenna - have fun - will miss you loads - but will be there for holidays.

black tie - here we all our having a drinky of shampoo on the boat before going out - Great night - lovely friends.

Second honeymoon!

We went to Nice for four days with Alison (my sister) and Chris. Great time - lovely place - and nice to sit in the sun!

Big Boats! Wow they were stupendious!

We stayed at Beaulieu sur le mer - Fab hotel

The Quality Carlton - very clean and reasonable . This is the local marina just a stroll away.

We walked up to the top of the hill in Monte Carlo - fabulous view.

Silver wedding

Cant believe we have just celebrated our 25th Wedding Anniversary - where did the time go.

We had a fabulous party with all our friends and family at the Deganwy Castle Hotel in Wales.

Thank you to all our wonderful friends and family for celebrating it with us.

We had a life size cutout of us on our wedding day - which was last seen dancing down Deganwy High Street and never seen again.

This is Finney proposing to a random lady, who nobody knew, but joined in with the party - she had a fab night - they were going to offer her our room for the night - to share with us!!!!

I was told by Debs aka Trinny that pop socks were not to be worn - so she took them off me and the boys modeled them!
